Steampunk Lily
The Metzger wasn’t the first mini I painted for Spartan Games.
No, it was actually a super secret 32mm figure of a Prussian fighter ace – Lily Reitch – a concept sketch of whom can be seen in the Dystopian Wars rulebook.
Well while I was browsing around on the Beasts of War minisite yesterday I came across a news announcement about that very steampunk aviatrix. Guess she’s not so super secret now.
Linking through to the Spartan Games developers blog, there’s a whole page on her. Including pictures of an alternate paintjob by another painter. Must confess I’m envious of the job they did on her trousers, btw!
So there she is. Lily. My first ever freelance commission paint job.

Not that the other was not good, i just liked the way you have done the face!
