Ah, so that is what a pallet arm does

As an addendum to my recent unboxing of the excellent Warehouse Accessories terrain set, I thought I’d share a couple of pictures sent up by the very helpful Chris at Spartan Games. They’re in response to an email I sent – asking how the pallet arm pieces were supposed to interact with the pallets themselves.

He says,

“Because of the way the pallets themselves are manufactured we couldn’t add in the recesses for the arms to fit into but you can see on the side a visual approximation of where they would slot in. Imaging the arms as little drones that slip themselves under the objects they’re intended to carry, and once there are enough of them, the mount on the spherical wheel flips round to life the whole assembly up to that shown in the second image.

While more than capable of functioning in either arrangement we added both to give some variety.”

Now I see, but am left with the dilemma of choosing which configurations to go for. I could do both pallets – there’s a small and large variant in the box – in different configurations, but I rather like the under-mounted trolley style.
